Washington
Mike is working his way through Boulder Drop in low water.
Here Elliot flaunts his $9 Astral PFD...
Here are a couple pictures from my trip out to Oregona and Washington. We ran the Skykomish and the Sultan back to back the week before Thanksgiving. I wish we had more rivers like these in Maine.
Catching up on the past year
Just though I would put up a small bit on what I have been fortunate to see over the past year.
Spring Skiing in the Sierra's, probably one of the most gorgeous areas I have ever been!
And then, the West Branch of the Penobscot, where I spent all summer kayaking with 14 year-olds
The Crib Works, the "hardest rapid in New England." The crib is actually a man-made rapid from way back when the river was still used for logging. All the rocks you see in the river were blasted off of the gorge walls to make room for logs passing downstream.
Our backdrop was Katahdin. I believe this shot was taken from the river right bank at Nesowadnehunk Falls.
